Violet, a 23-year-old Lakota woman originally from a reservation in North Dakota, shares her life story with unfiltered honesty. Her interview is a kaleidoscope of resilience, impulsivity, trauma, adventure, and raw survival.

After growing up in poverty and family conflict on the reservation, she left at 17 with her aunt to attend Burning Man. From there, her story veers into a whirlwind: trimming weed in Northern California, getting injured on the job, being paid with pounds of marijuana, traveling with a crew of young drifters with names like Slingshot and Mayhem, and hopping freight trains to New Orleans.
