Fernell, who goes by “Lil Snoop Dogg” or “Hus,” is a 34-year-old Denver native and self-described “military baby” whose life shifted dramatically after his mother passed away from breast cancer two years ago. He’s been homeless since then and doesn’t use shelters, instead relying on his brother or a girlfriend for occasional housing, and otherwise surviving on the streets.

He's been unemployed since the pandemic disrupted his work at King Soopers, and he now gets by selling whatever he can find. He’s open about using most drugs (“except crack”), yet insists he avoids needles and keeps to himself to avoid trouble.
