Mike, is 27 and has been homeless since age 17. He's a Colorado native, currently staying in a shelter in Denver. He left home due to family issues—specifically problems with his stepfather. His biological father lives in Missouri, but Mike says he doesn’t really care much about that relationship.
Despite everything, Mike is not bitter. He enjoys walking the city, hiking in the mountains, and reflects on how buildings and wealth are misallocated. He’s trying to stay in touch with his mom and sister, both of whom are also struggling in Arizona. His dream is to build a life that allows him to take care of them.
